Recognizing the Spirit of Witchcraft

For Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry." (I Samuel 15:23)

Witchcraft is the practice of sorcery or enchantment. It is to bewitch, fascination, and entrancing influence. Bewitch means to charm or put a spell over someone or something. Fascination is to captivate or to allure irresistibly. Entrancing influence means to power to affect or take possession of or to dominate. This spirit allows someone to sway the other person in a way. This spirit is a very domineering or  controlling.

This day and age witchcraft tools are found all over the place for the youth of today. You can take a trip to the local library and find several books on this topic in many forms in the teen section. If you were to turn your television on it can be found in many current movies, commercials, or even cartoons. One must never desire to use any of the tools. It will open a door that is very hard to close. The destruction that comes from the spirit of witchcraft will destroy you. 

I have been faced with people in my life who operated in this spirit and I now can recognize it . When you are faced with this spirit it drains the very life out of you. It leaves you feeling like everything is your fault and makes you feel awkward. This person is usually very loud, bossy, and controlling. This spirit will also attack your very body. It will make you so dizzy your sick to your stomach and give you a lingering headache. Fatigue is usually felt after leaving this person. 

A person who is controlled by this spirit is usually in some type of ministry. It loves to be in the limelight. I've learned it is a very self righteous spirit that has many daughter spirits. The Spirit of fear, manipulation, Rebellion, hatred, idolatry, confusion, and perversion are all tentacles that reach out. Witchcraft can also be a generational spirit in ones family lineage. When this spirit is in ones family it's always trailed by destruction. Every time one is trailed by this they bring a curse instead of a blessing and nothing in their life goes right. It is very rebellious. Rebellion utterly hates authority and submission. It is very prideful, idolatrous, and loves mockery . It will appear innocent and cunning. Generally when a woman has a problem with the pastor's wife they have mother issues and if a man has a problem with the Pastor it's because of father issues. This person seduces many people without them realizing it and plants cockatrice eggs in one's mind. Isaiah 59:5 | View whole chapter | See verse in context "They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper". It is very important to be sensitive to the spirit and get off the spider's web quick. 

Witchcraft is very real but our God is in control. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Prayer, fasting, and his word is the formula for victory to overcoming this spirit. This is not something that can be fought with words from your mouth. It will only be perverted and turned against you. This is a battle that must be fought on your knees. Never stop walking by faith although it is very tough. You are not truly walking by faith unless you are walking blindly with arms outstretched . Always remember if God be for us who can be against us!!!
