And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord , which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Isaiah 45:3

I remember as a child I had several secret places that I would hide. Sometimes, it was under a set of steps so that I could peer out and watch the world go by. Maybe it was underneath a huge weeping willow tree so the leaves that reached down would hide me. If I had a friend over I would show them because secret places are better shared. We would tell each other secrets as we would laugh because no one else knew.

I can only image the joy God feels when one of his children long to be in his secret places. In God's secret places there is much treasure . Proverbs 20:15 mentions there is plenty of jewels out there but the lips of knowledge are precious jewels. God desires to know us on an intimate level. If you have a secret your not going to just tell anyone. You most likely would confide in a close friend who has your trust. When you are doing your daily ritual and you feel that tug of God's spirit asking you to come away with him, that is him calling you to his secret places. It is there in prayer where God will speak things into your spirit that you would not know otherwise. When you spend more time with someone you learn more about them and become more like them. When you spend more time with God it transforms your perspective.I am so thankful that I serve a God who not only calls the stars by name, but wants to spent time with me in secret places!
