You Must Go Higher

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Psalm 61:2

Have you ever had a God given dream that shook your very core? It was so real you awoke with a panic? God speaks to us all in all different ways. I call this your " God language". While growing your relationship with God you will learn the way he likes to speak to you specifically. For some it may be dreams. For others it may be a gentle impression on the mind. Sometimes, God likes to speak to me in dreams.

One night I had a dream that I was standing in the middle of this beautiful mountain valley. I was looking around in wonder and awe at the beauty of the sight before me! All of the sudden as I was looking around, water rushed around the side of the mountain headed straight towards me! The tsunami wave was so tall I was paralyzed with fear! I stood there in shock unsure of where to go in the middle of nowhere. I called out to God to ask him what I should do and I heard a voice in heaven that yelled, "Krysta you must go higher! If you stay there you will perish". When God's voice spoke from heaven his spirit o flooded my whole being. I began to climb the mountain as the water rushed below me rising higher and higher! I made it to the top right before going under.

That next morning I awoke with a heaviness that rested with me all day. I prayed to God that he would reveal the meaning of the dream. He spoke to me and said that in that point in my life I was growing stagnant in our relationship. I was not fasting or praying the way I should. I was not reading his word and asking him questions out of eagerness to learn his character as I had in the past. I had stopped calling out to him at our regular time. He came and waited for me but I eventually forgot about him. If I was to stay there, I would spiritually die. It was time that I went higher! I am so thankful for the voice of God in my life, and his spiritual warnings! He loves the little moments with us. The moments where we go through our day and just whisper his name while at work. The moments where are in our vehicles and we ask him crazy questions. The moments where he wakes us up in the middle of the night to talk. He is a friend like no other and never forsakes us! We must go higher!
